The HSAF16 S ( Hakel Surge Arrester Filter ) of the ” G-line ” series is a two-stage surge arrester . A high-frequency filter is integrated between these two stages . The HSAF16 S of the “G-line” series includes an improved thermal fuse , which guarantees timely disconnection of the HSAF16 S from the power supply network when the varistor overheats and thus prevents damage to the HSAF16 S. The activation of the thermal fuse is signaled by an integrated light indication with the possibility of using a switching contact for remote signaling of the fault ( WITH). Using a new thermal fuse design, the protective voltage level is 100 V lower than the previous series of manufactured filters. HSAF16 S is a two-gate type T3 surge arrester , which is tested according to ČSN EN 61643-11 ed.2 (IEC 61643-11:2011) and ČSN EN 55017 (CISPR 17:2011) standards. According to the standard ČSN EN 62305 ed.2 (IEC 62305:2010), it is installed at the interface of zones LPZ 2 – LPZ 3, where it limits induced overvoltage and residual overvoltage in power lines. The HSAF16 S are installed on a 35 mm DIN rail using a metal clip.
